It has come to my attention that a student in our class has been 'hacking' other students RAZ kids accounts and threatening to 'hack' other students accounts on Friday.
I have taken action to put an individual password on each students' account so students will not be able to access their RAZ kids accounts till Monday when I give them the new password.
I will resolve the issues with the students involved on Monday.
Students have been shown how to go onto the Demonstration site and practice some online Naplan assessments. They will be typing a text in the Writing component. Students can use the Dance Mat typing program from the OTHER, HOMEWORK tabs to practice keyboarding skills.

Week 7 and 8
We have set up, and are increasingly using, our Google Classroom in Google Drive to learn and submit assignments. Students are able to access this from home.
As part of the login process, and notification system, students have been given an email address linked to their Landsdale PS school google classroom. We discussed safe use of email and continue to discuss safe practices when using the internet.
Please have a talk with your student to reinforce these issues. This Thursday, we will return to our Cyber Safety lessons in Health.

NAPLAN IS OVER!
We will commence our 'JOY & DATA' 'agentic' learning program. Students will begin working on real-world, authentic, complex, challenging, collaborative projects with a focus on applying and integrating their Literacy, Numeracy, Science, HASS (Humanities and Social Sciences), Health and Digital Technologies skills to create, publish and implement solutions that make a difference. 'Agency'/agentic' are words used to describe an approach that accepts the challenge of becoming involved in creating/inventing/changing future realities: being an active global citizen and Making A Difference). Ethical, personal, social/humanitarian and environmental responsibilities are cornerstones of our Global Education Projects. So is the application of critical, creative, divergent thinking and dreaming.

Welcome to LA 27,
Thank you to all the parents and caregivers who attended the Parent Information Evening on Tuesday 14/2/17. It was lovely to meet so many of you.
If you didn't take an information pamphlet or a letter about Year 3s and access to the Apple 1:1 program, please call in and collect one. Your child can take one home if you can't come in.
I have placed the link to the Landsdale PS website adjacent to this section. Scroll down the left hand navigation pane and click on the 1:1 laptop ordering portal for information on this program if you are considering a Macbook for your child.
If you requested an interview, all diagnostic testing is now complete and I will be contacting you shortly to arrange times for this week and next.
If you would like to nominate for the Parent Link program, but forgot to sign the sheet, you can let me know, or contact the office directly.
Mrs Marrion teaches Mon-Thur and Miss McCulloch teaches Friday.
All students have been given a Homework and Communication book with important information about school priorities and homework expectations. Please use this to let us know about any factors that may impact your child's learning and wellbeing, and also for communication about other matters such as absences.
If you have any queries, you can contact me via email on the Welcome page, at the address below, or with a note in your child's Homework and Communication book.
Email address: Ella.Marrion@education.wa.edu.au
Important events, reminders or forms for each week will be updated on this page.
If you want to practice some Naplan-type papers, check out Studyladder and also Ziptales. In Ziptales, go to the 3-6 Extending Literacy link after logging in. Then scroll down to the bottom right of the page and look for the Naplan-style test link.
